Chris Brown's London Nightclub Assault Lawsuit has been Dismissed by the alleged Victim

American singer Chris Brown has caught a break in one of his legal battles, as the man who accused him of a violent assault in London has officially dropped his lawsuit.

Abe Diaw, who filed the civil case in 2023, alleged that the R&B star struck him with a tequila bottle during an appearance at TAPE nightclub.

According to Abe Diaw, Chris Brown struck him three times with a Don Julio 1942 tequila bottle and continued to "ruthlessly stomp" on him while he was unconscious, causing serious injuries.

However, on Friday, Diaw filed legal documents in L.A. County requesting the case be dismissed with prejudice—a move that prevents the lawsuit from being brought again and often indicates a private settlement was reached.

Still, this doesn't mean Brown is completely off the hook. A criminal case is still underway in the UK stemming from the same incident.



British prosecutors have charged the singer with assault and possession of a weapon following his arrest earlier this year, shortly after arriving in the country for his world tour. Brown was released on bail and appeared in court roughly ten days ago, where he entered a not-guilty plea.
